The owner of a Leeds lettings agent fought back when masked men armed with a hammer, baton and metal bar raided his business.

Three men wearing balaclavas and high-visibility jackets attacked the man at Catlows on Dewsbury Road, Beeston, and demanded he open the safe in the incident on Wednesday afternoon.

West Yorkshire Police said the victim fought back and the men fled empty-handed at about 4.40pm. He was treated in hospital for cuts and bruises.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information should call Leeds CID at Elland Road via 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
