A burglar dragged his victim to the floor after she confronted him in her home.

The 23-year-old woman disturbed two youths who got in through an unlocked door at her house on Pendas Way, Crossgates.

One of them grabbed her arm and pulled her to the floor before the pair ran off.

Police have released an e-fit image of the youth, who was white, in his late teens, about 6ft 2ins tall and slim.

He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top, dark jeans and a dark-coloured, possibly striped, scarf.

The other was white, in his late teens and wearing dark clothing.

The incident happened before 11pm on Sunday, January 11.

Det Con Adam Newton, of Leeds CID, said: “This was obviously a frightening experience for the victim to be confronted in her home like this. I would like to hear from anyone who thinks they know who the person in the image is or who has any information that could assist the investigation.”

Anyone with any information should call Det Con Newton at Elland Road via 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
