Gunman stole drugs after threatening staff at Leeds pharmacy

A man armed with a gun stole drugs after threatening staff at a Leeds pharmacy today (Friday).

Police were called to reports of a robbery at Lloyds Pharmacy, in Meanwood Road, Meanwood, at about 11.30am.

The man had entered the shop armed with what appeared to be a handgun and threatened staff before taking prescription drugs.

Det Insp Mark Swift, of Leeds CID, said: “A scene is currently in place at the pharmacy and our investigation is at a very early stage.

“I would appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist to contact us.”
