FANCY A warming winter tipple, or perhaps just a night on the town?

If so, there’s a new bar that’s well worth a visit.

City Buzz previously revealed that a permanent pop-up bar was opening on Lower Briggate.

The wait is now over as The Liquor Store and Whisky Parlour launches tonight.

Serving up a range of cocktails and more than 60 types of whisky by the dram, the cool yet cosy bar is a little haven tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Briggate.

We recommend the Blood and Strand cocktail, which comes with a portion of Campari candy floss.

You’ll have to be quick though, as it’s only there for three months.

It will then be transformed into a whole new bar – with a different name, music and menu.

The only constant will be the three bartenders behind it – Bruce Lerman, Dan Crowther and Tom Finnon, who have 30 years of experience in the industry and are collectively known as The Hedonist Project.

We’re sure their latest venture will be just as good as their previous Rum Shack pop-up. Good luck, guys!
