Police investigating two burglaries at the homes of elderly people in the same Leeds neighbourhood have released images of men they want to trace.

In the first incident, on Thursday, January 15, the victim, a 78-year-old man, arrived back at his home in Woodlesford to find an intruder in his bedroom.

The burglar escaped but was seen getting on a bus with another man. Watches and other items were stolen.

In the second incident, on a nearby street the following day, a 71-year-old woman confronted a man as he tried to get through her front door. Nothing was stolen.

An e-fit image was produced from that incident.

Detective Inspector Anthony Scopelliti, of Leeds District Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “The CCTV image from the bus is very clear and we would like to hear from anyone who thinks they know the identity of these men.”
