A MAN who was repeatedly stabbed during an attack  at a house in Doncaster  last month has died in hospital.

A MAN who was repeatedly stabbed during an attack at a house in Doncaster last month has died in hospital.

The 26-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds at an address on Surrey Street, Balby, just after 6pm on Tuesday November 15.

He was taken to hospital where he remained in a critical condition until he died last night (Thurs Dec 15).

A post-mortem examination will be carried out today (Frid Dec 16) and his family are receiving support.

Jonathan Swift, 49, of Seaforth, Liverpool, was charged with attempted murder and criminal damage following the incident.

He appeared at Doncaster Magistrates court on Thursday November 17 where he was remanded into custody until his next appearance at court.

Detectives will consult with the Crown Prosecution Service in due course in relation to the initial charge.
