TOP fashion designers will showcase their work in Leeds at a special runway show next week.

The Leeds Fashion Initiative (LFI) will be held at Leeds City Museum on Wednesday, November 25 and will involve big names such as Burberry, Aquascutum, Christopher Raeburn and Agi & Sam.

The LFI is an event by Lambert’s Yard that aims to develop a three-year strategy to revive the city region’s fashion and clothing industries.

Adam Jagger, retail director at Lambert’s Yard and project manager for the event, said: “The support the LFI project is receiving from some of the country’s leading designers is fantastic, especially as it gives us the opportunity to showcase these names alongside some of the emerging Leeds talent that we work with.”

Rob Jewell, portfolio director at Land Securities, which is sponsoring the event, said: “Leeds has grown to become one of the most exciting fashion markets in the UK.

“[LFI’s] role in supporting and promoting talented young designers, in a city rich with top quality universities, is something to celebrate.”
