With news that Light Night is coming back to Leeds on tonight, Friday, October 9, we’ve picked out our top 5 events.

WHALE SONG

A combination of light, sound and water helps depict a whale surfacing from the River Aire. Meet just off The Calls from 7.30pm to 11pm.

PAINTING WITH LIGHT

Artist Michael Bosanko paints with air and light – see it for yourself at Millennium Square from 6pm to 11pm.

THE SEVENTH WAVE

The central atrium at Trinity Leeds will show a dramatic weather skyscape every half an hour from 7.30pm to 11pm.

OUR COLOUR PERCEPTION

From 6pm to 11pm at Leeds Town Hall’s crypt, a colour and light exhibit explores what it’s like to walk through a rainbow.

THE SUN AT NIGHT

Leeds Cathedral’s installation explores our relationship to the sun with images from NASA, from 6pm to 11pm.
