THE CITY’S dining scene is constantly improving, with new additions popping up most every week.
But the latest venue to join the ranks adds something a bit new to the current offering.
Jamaican-inspired restaurant Turtle Bay is opening a venue in Leeds city centre.
City Buzz understands the eatery is taking over the former O’Neill store at The Light shopping centre on Albion Street.
The restaurant chain has already established sites in Manchester, Nottingham and London, to name a few, where the menus consist of one-pots like goat curry, as well as flatbreads, roti wraps and their ‘Jerk Pit BBQ’ with burgers, jerk pork ribs and the like.
Oh, did we forget to mention the cocktails?
With classics like mojitos, rum punch and coladas all with a new Caribbean twist, we can’t wait to try them out.
After the recent addition of the Fire Lake restaurant and cocktail bar, it seems The Light is adding more and more restaurants to its list, turning it into a go-to eating destination rather than being more retail-focussed like many shopping centres.
It’s an interest tactic, and one we think will pay off.
