Have your say

You may have noticed there’s been somewhat of an influx of burger joints in Leeds city centre recently.

But how are you supposed to know which burger beats the rest?

Well, a brand new competition is about to help us decide.

A burger battle will be held at Canal Mills next weekend, with eight guest vendors bringing their best buns to Leeds.

The two-day competition will be held on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, with Patty Smith’s, Almost Famous, Get Baked, Black Swan and The Old Yorkshire Pit taking part.

Two vendors from Newcastle, called Lola Jeans and Fat Hippo, will also be there after winning their previous heats.

The burger battle is free to attend, with each competitor providing a slightly smaller version of their burger creations to showcase their food.

Burgers can be bought with a token, which cost up to £3 and each token includes a voting card.

All of this burger-based fun will be accompanied by some live music and a great range of beer.
