We’ve got all the gossip on the best bars and restaurants that are coming to Leeds city centre soon. Here are some of our favourites.

REVOLUCION DE CUBA

The Latin American rum bar and cantina has invested £1.5m in the old Baracoa bar site on Call Lane and will open on October 30.

BILL’S

Brunch favourite Bill’s is taking over the former Law Society building on Albion Place.

The restaurant launches on Monday, September 21, and will be open from breakfast through to dinner and cocktails.

ITSU

Health food offering Itsu is taking over the old Barratts shoe shop on Commercial Street and giving it a big makeover, so it may take a while.

STOCKDALE’S OF YORKSHIRE

The quality steakhouse will open at the former Sam’s Chophouse site on South Parade on September 25.

THE ALCHEMIST, GREEK STREET

The cocktail favourite is opening another Leeds venture – this time at Greek Street.

It’s due to open to the public next month. Watch this space.

HEADROW HOUSE

The cool indie venue with rooftop bars, gig space and a food area will open at the old Big Lil’s site just off The Headrow on October 2.

MARCO’S ITALIAN

Top chef Marco Pierre-White will open an Italian restaurant on the ground floor of a new hotel at The Merrion Centre.

It will open in December 2016.

SMOKE

Barbecue restaurant Smoke will serve up pulled pork, brisket and burgers when it opens at the Merrion Centre at the end of the month.

TURTLE BAY

Caribbean restaurant Turtle Bay has plans in the pipeline to open a venue in Leeds city centre.

We understand the eatery is taking over the former O’Neill store at The Light shopping centre and will open later this year.
