CHEESE fans, rejoice! For all your dairy-based dreams are about to come true.

A pop-up cheese café and bar will open in Leeds on October 9.

The LAB bar at the Merrion Centre will become a cheese paradise for six whole months, serving everything from fondue and raclette to Yorkshire Rarebit and cheesy pizzas.

Popular Leeds cheese club Homage2Fromage, which hosts regular meetings at The Adelphi, has teamed up with Jones Bar Group, which owns LAB and other venues such as Roxy Ballroom.

Homage2Fromage launched four years ago and is now in five cities, attracting over 350 people every month.

Vickie Rogerson, from Homage2Fromage, said: “Melted molten cheese is something to worship and we’ve always wanted to dedicate a restaurant just to the joys of oozing fromage, so to be able to actually launch a pop-up dedicated to everything we love is very exciting.”

Nick Copland added: “Cheese is one of life’s great pleasures and it should be enjoyed with enthusiasm, with friends, with a drink, and without pretension. That’s exactly what you’ll get.”

Matt Jones from the Jones Bar Group, said: “This is a totally unique concept.”

West Yorkshire Police say the devices will help officers spend more time in the community.
