The 24-year-old, from Alwoodley, was on a night out with his rugby team and was wearing a red onesie when the incident happened.

It is thought his attacker had mistaken him for another man who was dressed up as a character from the children’s television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The pair had been involved in a dispute on the bar’s dancefloor.

Police are continuing to look for the man, who was described as s white, aged in his late twenties to early thirties, about 5ft 10ins tall, dark haired and of medium to stocky build.

The CCTV image shows two men entering Revolution at about 8.30pm the same night.

Anyone with information should call Det Con Kate Hutton on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
