Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an alleged sexual assault in Norton.

A 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old woman were said to have been "touched inappropriately" by a man on Commercial Way on Monday May 29 at about 10.30pm.

The women were walking towards the taxi rank when a man approached them from an alleyway between Boom hairdressers and Hadfields Saddlery.

Police said he touched the 17-year-old girl inappropriately and when challenged, he then touched the 19-year-old woman inappropriately.

The girl and the woman continued walking towards the taxi rank and saw the man enter the Star Pizza takeaway. He then left the takeaway without ordering any food and returned to the alleyway between the hairdressers and saddlery.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured, or who has any information which could assist the investigation is asked to contact PC Rob Harrison on 101 or email Robert.Harrison@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
