Treasured photographs like this one were stolen from a 91-year-old woman when her handbag was taken in Leeds.

The lady pictured was shopping at Morrisons in Swinnow Road, Bramley, on July 27 when she fell victim to thieves.

A blue purse, which contained money and several photographs of her late husband, was inside the handbag when it was stolen.

Police have released this picture of the victim and her husband in the hope that anyone who finds the photographs will realise their significance.

A spokesman said: “We are urging anyone who by any chance finds a blue purse containing these photographs or the photographs themselves to contact West Yorkshire Police.”

Call police on 101, quoting crime reference 13160322423.
