Robert Connor, 63, was found guilty at Leeds Crown Court of a rape, sexual assault and the attempted rape of two victims aged 11 and 12 or 13 in Chapeltown between 1977 and 1980. He was aged between 16 and 19 years old when the offending took place - and a detective said this week that Connor "thought he had got away" with the historic sex offences. Ryan Padget, 42, of The Avenue, Oakwood, and Rose Jedynak, 33, of Trilby Street, Wakefield, were among the criminals jailed this week. They both admitted a charge of making off without payment, and affray. Additionally, Padget admitted a robbery at Tesco Express on Leeds Road, Outwood.
