It is bound to be the main topic of workplace discussion on Tuesday as we all embrace what is certainly one of City Buzz’s favourite traditions.

From savoury to sweet, pancake day toppings seem to have moved on from standard lemon juice - introducing ‘Crepes and Cocktails’.

It is a new theme for Manahatta bar and will launch on Tuesday night with a two course, crepe inspired meal and vintage cocktails courtesy of street food trader, Crepe Lucette.

The initiative, launched in 2011 by Lucie Mountain who was trained in the art of crepes in Brittany, has now developed into a thriving business.

She said: “Crepes are such a fantastically versatile dish that have no boundaries. We wanted to bring a unique evening to the area which we hope to make a regular event.”

Crepes and Cocktails will go on to be held throughout March on Sundays and Wednesdays at Manahatta.

Trinity roof-top bar, Angelica will also be whipping up some tasty treats with a one day only ‘Pancake Bar’.

Guests can choose between the American or classic style of pancake, with an assortment of toppings.
