Commuter chaos after A64 crash

Commuters in North Yorkshire are enduring a morning of traffic chaos after a crash on the A64 caused severe delays.

Two cars and a van collided near to Bilbrough Top near Tadcaster, resulting in the westbound carriage of the A64 being closed.

No-one is thought to have been seriously hurt in the accident but one person needed to be cut free from their car.

The incident happened shortly after 8am.

Traffic around York is reported to be extremely congested with long delays anticipated.
