HUNDREDS of gaming fans felt the force at a geek-end to remember as Collectorabilia came to town.

The event at the Marriott Hotel on March 21 was a blast from the past as 1,000 visitors browsed dozens of stalls selling retro games and merchandise, from Nintendo and Sega consoles to Star Wars and Doctor Who memorabilia.

Steve Smith, 36, organised the event. The father-of-two from Kirkstall works at Leeds College of Music but set up Collectorabilia as a hobby after developing an interest in all things retro.

He said: “I am really chuffed that so many people turned up and I definitely want to do another one in the future.”
