A STOLEN bank card was used to fund a £1,500 shopping spree in Leeds city centre.

Police have released CCTV images of men they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a man’s wallet.

It was taken from his pocket in Boar Lane, Leeds, on May 24, and a bank card inside was later used to withdraw cash from two cashpoints and pay for numerous items from shops in the city centre.

PC Matt Thirkill, of Leeds City Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We would urge anyone who recognises any of the men pictured in these CCTV images, or indeed the men themselves, to get in contact with us. We would like to speak to them as part of our ongoing enquiries in to this incident.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Leeds City NPT via 101.”
