The Radley bag, containing a purse with £100, was stolen from the Wetherspoons pub around 10.30pm on Saturday, April 9.

PC Andy Jones, the investigating officer, said: “The victim entered the pub and placed her handbag by her feet as she sat at a table.

“Two women entered the pub, and began acting suspiciously around the victim’s table. One of the women then pulled the bag away from the victim with her foot before picking it up and leaving the pub.

Officers have examined CCTV footage and spoken to witnesses and are now urging anyone who recognises the women pictured to come forward.

PC Jones added: “This crime was purely opportunistic and the majority of offenders will target anyone whose belongings are not protected as well as they could be.

“Valuables should be kept well concealed and bags and pockets zipped up or closed at all times.”
