CCTV appeal: Burglar tricked man with dementia into handing over cash

This is the man police want to identify after cash was taken from an elderly man with dementia.

A man called at the Leeds home of the victim and convinced him that he owed him money.

He was given an amount of cash by the man, who was described by police as being vulnerable.

The incident happened at an address in Westfield Lane, Kippax, on Tuesday, November 8.

PC Kirsty Senior, of Leeds District Safeguarding Unit, said: "We have been carrying out enquiries into this offence since it was reported and are now keen to identify the man shown in the images." 

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 6771 Senior at Elland Road via 101, quoting crime number 13160561621.

Information can also be passed on anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
