Children can test their pumpkin carving skills this Halloween with a special workshop in aid of charity.

The Garden Room restaurant, situated at The Mansion in Roundhay Park, is hosting the session in the company of Leeds Rhinos mascot Ronnie the Rhino.

All money raised will be going towards hospice and neurological care charity Sue Ryder.

The event, on Saturday, October 29, will transform into a pumpkin patch in celebration of all things that go bump in the night.

Children of all ages are invited to put their carving skills to the test and there will also be a fancy dress competition.

Jenny Atkinson, restaurant manager, said: “Last year’s event proved incredibly popular and we want to make this year’s bigger and better so we can raise lots of money for the Sue Ryder charity.”

The day will see three separate sessions; 11am, 1pm and 3pm. To reserve, call 0113 2691000 or email restaurant@dine.co.uk.
