Leeds has also attracted the first international office of American-owned digital marketing agency Fractl.

Other businesses which have chosen the region to support their expansion include unified communications firm Xalient and digital engineering company Caldero.

Kersten England, Bradford Council chief executive and the LEP’s lead chief executive for business, innovation and growth, said: “The success of our world class businesses and leading developments such as the Digital Health Enterprise Zone in Bradford is having a significant impact on raising the profile of our dynamic digital ecosystem, which accounts for almost a quarter of the North’s fastest growing technology businesses.”

She added: “In the 18th and 19th century our region led the first industrial revolution and two centuries later we are once again seeing technology increase productivity and drive growth.”
