IT’S one of the most momentous and memorable days of any couple’s life.

And now one lucky bride and groom-to-be have a chance to win their dream wedding with the Yorkshire Evening Post’s latest competition.

The YEP is giving away a prize worth £12,000 to one lucky couple to spend on their big day, as part of our ‘Win A Wedding’ competition.

The impressive prize includes a hen party, evening reception, wedding breakfast, wedding dress, suits, bridesmaid dress, rings, photography, car hire, flowers – and even a honeymoon.

This year, Jet2holidays has teamed up with the YEP to offer an incredible honeymoon at a four-star hotel in Crete for the winning pair.

Last year’s competition saw loved-up Kimberley, 38, and Steven Johnson, 41, scoop the coveted prize. The couple had been together for 22 years and finally tied the knot at St James’s Church in Seacroft in October.

Speaking about her special day, Kimberley said: “It was absolutely magnificent. That’s the only way I can describe it.

“It was amazing. The weather was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for more.

“I want to thank all the businesses that donated stuff, like the bridal shop.

“We had a horse and carriage, which was so special.

“I wouldn’t have been able to have the luxury if I hadn’t won the wedding.”

Mum-of-one Kimberley added: “I would recommend the competition to everybody.

“Who can afford that kind of money in this day and age?

“It’s very hard to earn money like that.”

To enter the competition, couples need to send us a photo of themselves, and 100 words explaining why they feel they should be crowned the winners.
