Tourism agency Welcome to Yorkshire has teamed up with the county’s top netball side in a new partnership.

Yorkshire Jets, who play in the national Superleague Netball Championship, will wear the Welcome to Yorkshire logo on their new kit.

This season, for the first time, the Jets will play home matches at four venues across Yorkshire, including Leeds Beckett University’s Headingley Campus.

Anna Carter, head coach of Yorkshire Jets, said: “Yorkshire Jets are honoured to represent Yorkshire in the UK’s top netball competition and there is no better partner to demonstrate our commitment to the county than Welcome to Yorkshire.”

Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “We are extremely proud to be partnering with Jets for the 2015 season, and with the team’s current crop of talent they have every chance of showing the rest of the country what we’re all about here.”
