THE winners of the ifsProshare Annual Awards have been announced with Yorkshire Building Society Share Plan clients sweeping the board with six awards.

The Yorkshire Building Society client winners were: Global Payments UK – Winner – Best New Share Plan; Wolfson Microelectronics – Commended – Best New Share Plan; SSL International – Winner – Most Effective Communication of an Employee Share Plan – Up to 1,000 Employees; First Group – Winner – Most Effective Communication of an Employee Share Plan – Up to 15,000+ Employees; Hammerson – Winner – Best Commitment to Employee Share Ownership for Small Companies with Fewer than 250 Employees; Henderson Global Investors – Winner – Best Overall Performance in Fostering Employee Share Ownership up to 1,000 Employees; National Grid – Winner - Best Overall Performance in Fostering Employee Share Ownership – 1,001-15,000 Employees.

TEMPLE Moor High School Science College in Leeds has won a Yorkshirewide contest to design and market a new SUBWAY sandwich. The Hot Mamma, will be revealed in the New Year.

FARNELL has won the Environmental Award at the 2010 European Electronics Industry Awards.

FASTSIGNS Leeds has been named the FASTSIGNS franchise with the best sales over the last 12 months and has also been awarded an accolade to recognise more than 5m in sales since FASTSIGNS Leeds was founded in 1995. Other awards are the FASTSIGNS Award to recognise the work of owner Andy Simpson and a highly commended award to lead graphic designer Vinny Symes in the Employee of the Year category.

ST Michael's Orthodontics, Wakefield, has won the Best Practice at the Dentistry Awards. It was shortlisted in six categories of the national finals at both the Dentistry Awards and the Private Dentistry Awards.
