THE housing market in Yorkshire and Humberside is still facing problems according to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Demand for homes continued to drop in June and supply of new property fell back, according to the latest RICS UK housing market survey published this week.
Inquiries from new buyers were down eight per cent, though sales increased slightly. Sellers also appeared to be holding off.
“In line with low demand and supply, overall activity levels changed very slightly in June,” said the survey. “However, newly agreed sales edged up marginally, with 6 per cent more surveyors reporting sales rose rather than fell.”
