Offering support to Turkey

Leeds consultants WYG is helping bring in a national qualifications system in Turkey.

The firm is helping provide education and training to meet labour needs.

WYG is providing management and policy advice to the Vocational Qualifications Authority to strengthen the organisation and improve qualifications.

WYG project director Irmak Tosun said: "Many of the current certificates provided by public authorities are not accepted in the world of business. This leads to many unable to find employment because they don't have the right skills and employers cannot find people with the right skills because they are not certified."
