New £1m outdoor store at former Great Clothes site in east Leeds

A NEW £1m outdoor clothing and equipment and cycle superstore is set to create 65 new jobs when it opens in Leeds at the end of this month.

GO Outdoors’ first superstore in Leeds is due to open at the former Great Clothes site on York Road on April 30. The new 30,000 sq ft store will also include a GO Outdoors’ cycling store and workshop.

Chris Matthews, chief executive officer of GO Outdoors, said: “After several months searching for the right location and a refurbishment, we look forward to opening GO Outdoors 56th superstore in Leeds. As the UK’s largest outdoor goods retailer, we are thrilled to be able to offer Leeds locals a one-stop superstore for all of their outdoor activity needs.”
