Town Centre Securities, the owner of the Merrion Centre in Leeds, has appointed two heavyweight non-executive directors, Ian Marcus and Paul Huberman.

Mr Marcus is a former managing director at Evans Property Group and has spent over 32 years as an investment banker specialising in the real estate sector.

He has worked at Credit Suisse First Boston, Bank of America, UBS, NatWest and Bankers Trust/Deutsche. He joined Credit Suisse First Boston in 1999 to establish its Real Estate Group, and became managing director and chairman of its European Real Estate Investment Banking Group before retiring in 2012. He then joined Evans Property Group.

Mr Huberman will bring over 27 years’ experience in the property and finance sector and was previously finance director at Grantchester Holdings, Asda Property Holdings and Regent Inns.

Most recently he worked with the administrators of the Targetfollow Group to dispose of its property portfolio and with the administrators of the Brooklands Hotel to operate and then sell the hotel. He also advised the directors of Prestige Finance and the directors of West One Loan on operating and selling their companies.

Leeds-based TCS said their experience and knowledge of the sector will add significant strength to the executive team.
