BOSSES at the Travelodge hotel chain have released a list of the weird and wonderful items that were left behind in its rooms in 2014.

Belongings mislaid by guests checking out from the chain’s hotels in Leeds included keys to a company head office, a Hugo Boss suit, Christian Louboutin shoes, a diamond necklace, tickets to a Lee Evans comedy gig and the entire Friends TV show collection on DVD.

The items most commonly left behind in Travelodge’s city hotels, meanwhile, included mobile phones, laptops and sat navs.

Travelodge spokeswoman Shakila Ahmed said: “Our left-behind register revealed how much smart technology has become a part of our everyday lives.

“What is becoming evident after speaking to our customers is that the pace of life has become so fast and we are so eager to get from A to B that valuable possessions are easily being forgotten.”

Travelodge’s hotel sites in Leeds include Swinegate and Vicar Lane in the city centre.
