A NEW independent estate agency is in the market to sell houses in Leeds.

Preston Baker is the new name on the block in the property sector and has its city base in Headingley.

The firm also has offices in Selby and York.

Former Bairstow Eves franchisees Ian Preston and James Baker took the decision to go independent following Countrywide’s sale of its Bairstow Eve franchises to the Yorkshire firm Hunters in September.

Managing director Ian Preston said: “The decision to become independent was an easy one to make.”
