Charities benefit from firm's fundraising

Staff at Deloitte in Leeds have raised almost £10,000 over the last year for their two chosen charities.

Dogs for the Disabled, in Wakefield, and St Anne's Community Services, in Leeds, were the winners of a vote by the 400-strong team, who have undertaken a wide range of fundraising activities, including a sponsored Three Peaks Challenge, cake bakes and even a demonstration by Dogs for the Disabled as part of Deloitte's Working Parents and Carers network.

Senior partner Martin Jenkins said: "It has been another successful year for our community investment programme with the hard work and commitment of staff helping to raise a significant sum for our chosen charities.

"We are now deciding on our charities for the coming year and will, once again, be supporting organisations which make a real difference to people's lives in Yorkshire."

The money will be split between Dogs for the Disabled and St Anne's Community Services, which supports the homeless.
