TWO Leeds garages have benefited from a £73m investment by car servicing and repair firm Halfords.

The former Nationwide Autocentres on Meadow Road and York Road have undergone a refurbishment and rebrand to become Halfords Autocentres.

The reopened Leeds Halfords Autocentres are among 253 centres to adopt the company’s orange and black branding.

Nigel Ramsden, the Meadow Road Halfords Autocentre manager, said: “The presence of the Halfords Autocentres in Leeds is good news for both the company and drivers in the city.”
