A NURSERY business which is celebrating its first decade has rewarded the three staff who have been loyal since the start to a weekend in the Peak District.
But there was a surprise - they were taking part in a 24-mile walk to raise money for the NSPCC in the Buxton Hack event, alongside other members of staff, partners and parents.
They raised enough to pay for a Childline counsellor for 12 months.
Sunbeams Day Nursery, based in Leeds and Harrogate, was founded by managing director Kate Plews.
The tenth anniversary coincides with finding a new location for a new nursery in Halton. A spokesman said: “Even before work started we have had numerous enquiries and even confirmed bookings based on the reputation of our other Leeds nursery in nearby Austhorpe.”
