Appointments

SCR Envelopes, a UK leader in four-colour envelope overprinting, has bolstered its team with two appointments to its Leeds-based head office. Richard Pennie, from Huddersfield, joins as business development director and will be responsible for developing and initiating key accounts with blue chip clients.

In addition, SCR has appointed Debbie Axup as sales manager to work directly with existing customers to drive innovation and cost effective services.

A NEW senior partner to spearhead business development in West Yorkshire has been appointed by Yorkshire Bank. He is Paul Grace who will lead Yorkshire Bank's West Yorkshire Business Development team supporting its Bradford-based West Yorkshire Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) and Leeds FSC.

YORKSHIRE Building Society has appointed a former member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), Kate Barker, as a non-executive director. She was previously on the Board of the Society and stepped down when she became a member of the MPC in 2001.

SOLICITORS and estate agents Emsleys has appointed Paula Convy to the role of lettings negotiator. She has previously worked as an office manager and personal assistant for Northcroft Construction Consultants, as well as for the Witness Service as co-ordinator at Leeds Crown and Magistrates Courts. She has experience working for an estate agents and solicitors practice.

LITIGATION specialist Stewarts Law LLP has continued the expansion of its Leeds office with five new appointments. Gabrielle Ross joins the firm as a solicitor in the Clinical Negligence department, while Matthew Tighe has also taken up a position as a solicitor in the Commercial Litigation department having completed his training with the firm. The pair are joined at the firm by Conrad MacDonald, who has been taken on as a trainee solicitor, and Hana Tawfik and Carly Plant, who join as paralegals in the Clinical Negligence and Commercial Litigation departments respectively.

DELOITTE has expanded its financial services practice in Leeds with the addition of two partners and a director. The decision sees corporate tax specialist Sue Holmes promoted to partner. Kate Hayes has been promoted to director and Andy Todd, a tax specialist in the insurance sector, is now working out of the firm's Leeds office. The financial services team is strengthened by David Heaton being promoted to partner in Manchester.

PRICEWATERHOUSECOPPERS has appointed Toby Underwood as a partner in the firm's Northern Business Recovery Services team.

BLUESTONE Leasing has announced the appointment of two business relationship executives to support new business. Recent graduates Lee Hare and Liz Barton, who will be based at the company's Wakefield head office, have been taken on.
