ESTATE agent Dacre, Son & Hartley will once again be a key sponsor of this year’s Otley Show.

The event will be taking place tomorrow – May 19 – and is being organised by the Wharfedale Agricultural Society.

This year the organisers have made donations to several charities in the run-up to the event.

It will be the 203rd time that Otley Show has taken place and Wharfedale Agricultural Society has lined up more than 30 attractions to entertain crowds on the day.

Beneficiaries of the Wharfedale Agricultural Society’s charity donations include The Elizabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys and The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.

Jeff Crabtree, who is chairman of Wharfedale Agricultural Society and works as a chartered surveyor at Dacre, Son & Hartley, said: “Otley Show is one of the UK’s leading one day farming shows and attracts approximately 15,000 visitors.

“As part of the build up to the event it’s fantastic to be able to make these donations to two leading farming charities.

“Every year the event creates a huge level of excitement throughout the region and this time is no different.

“Highlights this year are The Inch Perfect Trial Display Team which is a superb trials bike stunt show and The Sheep Show which is a famous educational event hosted by some of the UK’s best sheep handlers.

“Other major attractions include The Yorkshire Military Marching Band, Mountgrace Gun Dog Display, Ben Potter Birds of Prey, Badsworth and Bramham Moor Hunt and as usual there will be classes for all types of animals.”

Anyone wanting to visit Otley Show, visit the Wharfedale Agricultural Society, located at 15 Bridge Street in Otley, telephone 01943 462541 or visit www.otleyshow.org.uk.
