Window firm's green outlook reflected in partnership
AN ENVIRONMENT-friendly Yorkshire window manufacturer has pledged to plant a tree for every customer who buys from its new timber range.
Drighlington-based Kingfisher Windows is partnering with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust to launch its new, sustainable timber collection.
It is also donating 500 to the trust to mark the start of the partnership, and will use only timber from approved sustainable sources
Gary Long, commercial director at Kingfisher Windows said: "We've always been a community-focused company, so with the launch of our new sustainable timber collection it made perfect sense to offer our support to the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust."
Since the trust was set up in 1996 it has assisted more than 600 diverse projects across the region worth 15m.
Projects have included conservation work such as planting trees and dry stone walling as well as supporting community projects.
