Insurance specialist sees soaring sales

A HARROGATE insurance and vehicle recovery specialist said it has seen its sales rocket and profits soar in the last three years.

NCI Vehicle Rescue plc has seen a 400 per cent sales increase and has boosted sales to more than 5 million from 1.25 million in 2007.

The Harrogate-based firm said it enjoyed a 1,400 per cent boost in net profitability over three years.

In the last 12 months alone, the business has employed 50 per cent more staff and launched a 24/7 call centre after expanding into spacious new offices.

The company now employs around 40 people and delivers breakdown and recovery services under its "rescuemycar" brand to privately-owned cars and vans, fleet vehicles and motorbikes through thousands of independent recovery agents nationwide.

Managing director Neil Richards-Smith said: "Overcoming a succession of challenges, which also include our online competitors driving prices down, is testimony to our tenacity and commitment to provide excellent breakdown provision and top class customer service and insurance products.

"We are continuing to substantially invest in key areas such as hiring new staff, training and developing employees and commissioning state-of- the-art IT equipment.

"Our flagship call centre enables us to divert members of staff to the busiest lines in order to maximise customer response.

"Our vision is to establish NCI as a household name for vehicle recovery and insurance products throughout the UK."
