HUNDREDS turned out for one of the most colourful and entertaining events in the region’s business calendar.

ABDN – The Network of Influence’s annual dinner and awards ceremony attracted hundreds of guests to Savile Hall in Leeds.

The theme of the extravaganza was Aiming High.

There were dancers, music, a comedian and plenty of well-known faces from the business community.

ABDN chairman Arshad Chaudhry told the audience: “It will be a night of inspiration and entertainment.”

Our pictures show the event was a lively affair – and it was supported by guest speakers Ed Miliband, Labour Party leader, and top asian businesswoman and TV celebrity Kavita Oberoi.

Thousands of pounds were raised for charity through donations and an auction.

The award winners: Hanif Malik of Hamara HLC (Service to the Community); Thermal Engineering Contracts (Most Promising New Business); Olga Kubassova of Image Analysis (Female Entrepreneur of the Year); David Helm of Blue Logic Computer Systems (Young Entrepreneur of the Year); Brandon Medical Company (Innovation in Business); Cleveland Biotech (SME Business of the Year); ATB Morley (Business of the Year); Ashpal Bhogal (Rising Sports Star of the Year); Avtar Singh Thethi (Lifetime Achievement Award).
