Firm’s staff help three charities

THREE charities are set to benefit from an online auction organised by Leeds-based Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance.

The company has raised £2,679 through the initiative which saw the firm’s staff put in bids for donated items.

The money will be donated to Wheatfields Hospice, Leeds Mind and the Heartbeat Appeal.

Gerald Grimes, managing director of Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance, said: “As an organisation Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance is keen to continue our support of local charities, as 2012 looks set to be another tough year for many businesses and families.”

He added: “The charities all offer invaluable service and support for families living in the Yorkshire area and we are delighted to be able to help them.”
