Firm invests to keep up with demand
NEW machinery should help a Dewsbury firm streamline its production process and boost its output.
Rixonway Kitchens, which employs more than 450 people, has forked out £450,000 to help it keep up with demand from the affordable and social housing market.
The firm is the first in the UK to install a specialist Fusion machine produced by Italian company Essetre which allows it to cut and edge its kitchen worktops in a single process.
Operations director Nick Greenall said: “We manufacture over 12,000 rigid kitchen units a week and we are constantly looking for ways to improve the efficiency of the production process.”
