Cheers! Wine tasting creates lots of liquid assets

RAISE a glass to a wine tasting evening in Leeds which raised just under £5,000 for a charity helping hate crime victims.

Legal firm Ford & Warren and Leeds White Rose Rotary hosted the event in aid of Stop Hate UK.

Seventy people from the business community formed 10 teams to show their wine knowledge in a Call My Bluff-style quiz. Three bluffers played by property solicitor Nigel Price and Rotarians Uell Kennedy and Stan Lynch described six different wines and asked attendees to choose which was telling the truth.

The next Stop Hate UK fundraising event is at the Headingley Enterprise and Arts Centre on March 9.
