A double decker bus has crashed into a taxi office in Huddersfield today.

The accident happened on Westbourne Road in Marsh, when the First service collided with the Marsh Cars premises just after 2pm.

The crash caused considerable damage to the building, and also severed a gas pipe, although the firm has remained open for business.

The bus driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Police have closed the road and drivers are advised to avoid the area.

It is the second accident involving a bus in Huddersfield today - earlier an Arriva double decker crashed on Northumberland Street.
