Bulldog Ted is on the mend after neglect

Charity chiefs have appealed for a new home for American bulldog Ted who is recovering from a lifetime of horrific neglect.

The young dog arrived at the RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield an District branch in March last year underweight and covered in sores and burns – thought to be from a radiator in the cupboard he had been kept in. He also had to have his tail amputated after damage caused by him chewing it.

Branch administrator Gena Cameron said: “He was such a sad sight. Initially the behaviourist was just going in and sitting with him. He’s come on such a long way since then.”

Ted still has knee problems so does not need much exercise. He also needs long-term medication so the branch will help with costs. Anyone interested can call 07743 773871.
