Terminal 3 at Heathrow Airport has been evacuated this afternoon with police cars reportedly being sent to the scene.

There were chaotic scenes as thousands of passengers were ordered to leave the terminal.

Fire alarms were activated and the incident is being investigated as 'a matter of urgency'.
