Breaking: Christmas lights switch causing Leeds Bradford Airport traffic delays

Passengers travelling to Leeds Bradford Airport face heavy disruption today (Tuesday) as roads are closed in Leeds for a Christmas lights switch-on event.

The Rawdon Christmas Lights switch-on takes place today from 5pm until 9.30pm and road closures are in place near the airport.

There are now heavy delays around the airport on some routes to the terminal for bus services and motorists.

The B6152 Harrogate Road in Rawdon - between A65 Leeds Road and A658 Green Lane - is now closed for until 9.30pm tonight.

Yorkshire Tiger bus service - which runs from Leeds Bradford Airport to Leeds city centre - also said its services are "heavily delayed" tonight.
