Two mums who lost their young sons to cancer are now throwing their support behind the charity which helped them cope.

Carly Hudson and Toni Cammack both lost their children to Neuroblastoma within days of each other in 2012.

Their boys, both named Thomas, received treatment at Leeds General Infirmary, where the families were supported by Candlelighters.

The two ladies became friends and have now joined forces to support the charity. Most recently, an appeal for Christmas presents for poorly children received a huge response.

Carly, from Armley, said: “Candlelighters continues to be a big part of our lives and we want to do all we can to show our support.”

The charity, formed more than 40 years ago, is currently developing a new Family Support Hub in Leeds.
