The boyfriend of a pregnant woman mauled to death by dogs in her Leeds home has been charged under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
Mother of four Emma Bennett, 27, suffered fatal injuries in an attack by at least one of a pair of dogs at her home on Dawlish Avenue, East End Park, Leeds, on Monday, December 9.
West Yorkshire Police have now charged two men with dangerous dogs offences.
Miss Bennett’s partner Lee Horner, aged 33, of Helston Green, Middleton, has been charged with two counts of possessing a dangerous dog.
Nikki Cook, aged 29, of Normanton Place, Beeston, has also been charged with two counts of possessing a dangerous dog. He is also charged with breeding a dangerous dog.
The dogs involved are thought to be pitbulls.
Both men have been bailed to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on Tuesday, February 4.
